Getting Started
VBIC (Virtual Blade Inspection Card) is a web app for conducting blade inspections using on-screen digital cards. It runs in a browser on iPads and larger screens and works offline once loaded.
Requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Screen size | iPad or larger (768 px wide minimum) |
| Browser | Safari (iOS 16.4+), Chrome, or any modern evergreen browser |
| Connection | Internet required to sign in and sync; works offline once templates are loaded |
Settings and Ruler Calibration are always available, even on smaller screens. The card inspection UI is gated to 768 px and above.
Install on your iPad
For the best experience, install VBIC to your iPad home screen — this gives you full-screen mode and offline access. See Install VBIC on your iPad.
- Open the VBIC URL in Safari (or your installed home-screen icon).
- Enter your email address and the temporary password from your invite email.
- If prompted, set a new permanent password.
You'll land on the Inspection Card Templates screen.
