Settings Reference
The Settings tab (ruler icon in the tab bar) is available to all users on all screen sizes.

Account
| Setting | Description |

| Signed in as | Your email address |
| Role | Your current role in the organisation |
| Organisation ID | Your organisation's internal ID (visible when set) |
Sign out — signs you out of the app. A confirmation prompt appears first.
Sync
| Setting | Description |

| Last synced | How long ago the app last successfully fetched templates from the server |
Templates are cached locally so the app can open and display them while offline.
Inspection
This section is only shown on iPad-sized screens and larger.

| Remember last used values | Off | When on, the Setup screen prefills fields with the values entered in your last session on this device. Date and time fields are never prefilled. |
| Keep screen awake during inspection | Off | Uses the Screen Wake Lock API to prevent the screen from dimming while the Viewer is open. Requires iOS 16.4+ or Chrome. |
Ruler Calibration
This section is only shown on iPad-sized screens and larger.
Calibrates the on-screen ruler that appears at the top of the Viewer. See Calibrate the on-screen ruler for the step-by-step process.

| Blue bar | Visual reference: should measure exactly 10 cm from the left edge |
| px / cm | The current calibration value. Adjust with − and + |
| Save calibration | Saves the current px/cm value to this device |
The calibration value is stored in local storage (bia_calibration_v1) and is not cleared by "Clear local data & sign out".
Device
Clear local data & sign out — removes all cached templates and preferences from this device, then signs you out. Use this when handing a shared device to a different technician.
What is removed:
- Cached templates
- Last synced timestamp
- Last used Setup values (prefill)
- Wake lock preference
- Onboarding completion flag
What is kept:
- Ruler calibration
Server data is never affected by this action.
